Learning to Farm Unless you have grown up on a farm, it can be very difficult to learn the many skills you need to be a success. Thankfully, when I moved out to the country, I was lucky enough to have the support of my neighbours who lived on nearby farms. These people had the skills and knowledge I needed and they were happy to share it with me. They taught me how to sow seed, how to look after my cattle and how to deal with snakes.
